Once a year, every Sanctuary dancer steps onto the O'Brien Theatre stage for an afternoon of artistry, joy, and worship. It's the moment a whole season of growth comes to life.
The Heart of Our Year
Our spring recital is the heart of our year! Every dancer, from our littlest Mommy & Me students to our senior company, takes the stage to share what they've been working toward. Families fill the theatre, cameras ready, and a season of practice becomes something beautiful right before your eyes. It's equal parts performance and homecoming, and it's one of our very favorite days!
More than a show, the recital is where our dancers learn that their gifts are meant to be shared, and where excellence and worship meet on one stage.
2026-2027 Season
Mark your calendars! Here's what's ahead. This year's theme and show times will be announced in the spring, and a full recital packet goes out to every family closer to the date.
Doors open to the audience 30 minutes before each show. All events are held at the O'Brien Theatre, Roane State Community College, Harriman, TN.

Through The Years
Every recital carries a theme that shapes the whole show, from the music to the movement. Here is the story so far.
Join the Audience
Tickets go on sale each spring, and a purchase link is emailed to every family. Seating comes in three tiers, Premium, Preferred, and Standard, so there's a comfortable spot for everyone. Tickets range from $5-$20 each depending on tier. Lap children ages 5 and under are always free, and doors open 30 minutes before each show.
Ten percent of every recital ticket goes to the Sanctuary Dance Academy Scholarship Fund, helping make dance possible for families who need a hand. When you come to cheer on your dancer, you're helping another one take the stage.
Keepsakes
Each recital is professionally recorded and available to order, so you can relive the day and catch every moment you might have teared up through. Recordings are ready a few weeks after the show.
Make the day extra special with a fresh bouquet from Bees + Blooms Flower Farm, our local flower partner. Bouquets are available as a ticket add-on and delivered right to the theatre for pick-up on recital day.
For Recital Families
Our recital is professionally recorded, and DVDs are available to order! They arrive about six weeks after the recital, and we will email you when yours is ready to pick up.
For Local Businesses
Our recital program reaches hundreds of families across Roane County. Sponsorships include a program advertisement and complimentary tickets, and they help support our dancers and the day itself.

For Our Families
If your dancer is enrolled, you'll receive a full recital packet each spring with everything you need: rehearsal times, costume notes, hair and makeup guidance, and arrival times. A tech rehearsal and a dress rehearsal in the days before are part of the experience, and our backstage is always supervised and secure.
